Kalaksh wasn’t born in a Swiss chalet with a lifelong watchmaker carefully assembling cogs by candlelight. Nope. This brand came to life because someone scrolling through Etsy wondered, "Why are watches so painfully serious?" One existential crisis later, the idea of art watches sparked an entirely accidental entry into the world of timekeeping.

The Road Less Travelled By: How it all began

Kalaksh’s journey wasn’t some Instagram-ready glow-up. It started in Bombay, with designs dreamt up in small towns, manufactured in Gujarat, and assembled in Delhi. No fancy investors or glitzy launches here, just one founder, a car trunk full of dreams, and hand-illustrated watches. Ready to hit the road from Bombay to Bangalore!

The first stop? Mahabaleshwar. Armed with nothing but a laptop and sheer hope, the founder wandered market stalls trying to convince strangers that ₹1,000+ for a random brand’s watch was a steal. (Spoiler: It wasn’t).

Next came Kolhapur, where an Airbnb connection led to a mini victory, a website design. Then, Goa. After four days of flea markets and countless “maybe later”, three watches were sold. Not exactly a rags-to-riches tale, but just enough to keep the dream alive.

Today, Kalaksh is still on this ride, growing, evolving, and always doing things its own way.
